This fat-free ointment forms a breathable, porous scab on the wound. This makes Betadine Ointment suitable for disinfecting abrasions, burns and larger superficial wounds. The ointment sticks well to the wound, so it stays in place for a long time. Betadine ointment contains 100 mg/g povidone iodine. RVG: 01330

Advice for use of Betadine Ointment
Betadine ointment is only suitable for cutaneous use. Apply a thin layer of Betadine Ointment to the wound and the skin around it. The fat-free ointment forms a breathable, porous scab on the wound. The ointment can be applied both to an open wound and under a covering bandage or plaster. Change the bandage or patch 1 to 2 times a day or as often as needed until the wound is closed.
Betadine contains povidoneiodine
Betadine contains povidoneiodine as an active ingredient. Do not use this on large areas of skin if the thyroid gland is overactive as determined by a doctor.
