The basis of AlpenGrün Mash are the Prenatura fibers, which mainly consist of the leaves and seeds of grasses and herbs that have been dried with warm air. These are characterized by a high content of natural vital substances such as trace elements, vitamins and secondary plant compounds. In addition, the Prenatura fibers provide the horse with important, very digestible crude fiber, which actively promotes intestinal health and the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria, especially thanks to the prebiotic properties. This reduces the number of putrefactive and gas-forming bacteria in the large intestine.
Linseed grains and psyllium provide a high content of mucilage, which coats the stomach and intestinal mucosa with a protective film. They thus help to maintain the health of an intact mucosa, but also to regenerate irritated mucosa after illness, medication, deworming or stress. The unsaturated fatty acids also have a positive effect on the skin and coat.
Thanks to gently dried beetroot, carrot, apple and parsnip, ALPENGRÜN MASH is particularly tasty. So even without the addition of molasses, it is eaten with great pleasure by even picky horses. ALPENGRÜN MASH also contains natural vital substances such as secondary plant compounds, vitamins and minerals, as well as easily digestible pectins, which in turn benefit a healthy intestinal flora. Dried rosehip shells are known for their high vitamin C content – important for strengthening the immune system. The positive effect of fennel and caraway on digestion rounds off ALPENGRÜN MASH.
Because we deliberately do not use grains, bran and molasses, ALPENGRÜN MASH is also suitable for horses with sensitive metabolism and is ideal as a daily feed and as a cure (e.g. after colic or during molting)!
