Ideal for educating youngsters and those with established bad habits. Leather pressure release mechanism breaks under heavy load avoiding serious injury. Smart enough to use for traveling turnout & shows.

Please note: Safety is one of the benefits of a breakaway halter versus a nylon halter. They are designed to break under extreme pressure, i.e. if a horse pulls back when tied up or the halter is caught on a fence or solid object. This normally occurs at the point of the check rings and can prevent serious injury.

We always recommend tying up with release knot and monitor difficult horses all the time.
