Icelandic seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) is a natural and rich source of organically bound minerals and trace metals. This high-quality seaweed comes from the waters around Iceland and has been carefully checked for heavy metals and other contaminants. The seaweed has a delicious aroma and is coarsely chopped, making it easier for animals to ingest.

Rich in minerals and trace elements: Contains important nutrients for animals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and copper.

Mineral buffet: It can also be included in the mineral buffet. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of seaweed in a bucket of water and offer it alongside fresh water.

Storage: Store the seaweed in a dry, cool and dark place to preserve the nutrients optimally. Make sure it is not exposed to direct sunlight, as seaweed oxidises and can lose its valuable metals when exposed to air and light.

Please note: Seaweed is not suitable for animals with thyroid problems.
For animals that are prone to oesophageal blockage, it is advisable to dissolve the seaweed in water and offer it in this form.

How to use

Unlimited supply: Place a container of seaweed in front of your animals, similar to a salt lick, so that they can decide for themselves how much they want to consume. This encourages natural intake of the necessary minerals.
Mineral buffet: It can also be included in the mineral buffet. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of seaweed in a bucket of water and offer it alongside fresh water.

Storage: Store the seaweed in a dry, cool and dark place to optimally preserve the nutrients. Make sure it is not exposed to direct sunlight, as seaweed oxidises and can lose its valuable metals when exposed to air and light.

Large horse (500 kg):

20 to 30 grams per day mixed into the feed.

Offer one tablespoon dissolved in a bucket of water in a mineral buffet.

Offer unlimited amounts as free choice in a container.
