Description

Celtic sea salt. Unrefined, grey sea salt from clay basins, rich in naturally occurring minerals and moisture.

Celtic sea salt is a pure, hand-harvested salt from the clean, unspoilt waters of Brittany, France. This sea salt is still harvested according to a centuries-old, traditional Celtic process, whereby Atlantic seawater is channelled through a system of natural channels and clay basins. This ensures that the salt is not only free of pollution, but also energetically charged and contains more than 94 mineral metals in easily absorbable forms and optimal proportions.

The salt is harvested by hand and is therefore completely natural, with a high mineral and energetic value. This salt is of the ‘sel gris’ type, or grey salt, because of the clay particles it contains.

Features and benefits:

Rich in mineral metals: contains more than 94 minerals, including essential trace elements.
For animals: when added to water, it can serve as a liquid lick stone, allowing animals to choose their own minerals.
Promotes soil health: can be used as an effective natural fertiliser for crops.

Use
The salt is unprocessed and therefore retains all its natural benefits, unlike most commercial salt products.

Tips for use:
Use as a mineral supplement in the mineral buffet or add to watering can to add minerals to the soil.
It is a natural, powerful way to improve soil structure and promote plant growth.

Feeding Guide

In a mineral buffet: Add 1 tablespoon to a bucket of water and offer this alongside the normal water supply. Animals can choose how much they drink, which contributes to their mineral requirements. Please note, less suitable for dogs and cats.

For the soil
Plants and crops: Add 1 to 3 grams per litre of water. This enhances the absorption of minerals through the roots and leaves and improves the overall growth of the plants.

Soil and pasture management: Add 200-300 kg per hectare per year to improve soil structure and mineral balance.

Mineralbar

A mineral bar (or mineral buffet) for horses is a system that gives your horse a choice of various loose minerals and trace elements, often in water solution (such as Celtic sea salt, peat moss, spirulina) or as loose powder, so that the horse can lick what it needs to supplement its basic diet. It is a natural form of enrichment that stimulates the horse's self-regulating ability, unlike a standard lick block, which is often more limited.

What is it?
An arrangement with multiple containers or drinking troughs, each filled with a specific mineral/ingredient.
Offers freedom of choice and encourages natural behaviour, as horses in the wild also consume minerals from the soil.

Commonly used ingredients:
Salt: Celtic sea salt (in water or loose).
Liquid additives: Peat water, green clay, nettle, rosehip, Bering Sea water.
Trace elements: Sometimes supplemented with spirulina or diatomaceous earth (silicic acid) for silicon, for example.
Base: A regular salt lick (salt, with or without extra minerals) is often added to meet sodium and chloride requirements.

Benefits for the horse:
Can supplement deficiencies.
Promotes mental enrichment and independence.
Is a supplement to, and not a complete replacement for, a balanced basic diet (balancer/mineral mix).
