Agrobs Seniormineral provides horses with all essential micronutrients into old age. The older a horse gets, the more likely it is that age-related problems will occur. These include, for example, the inadequate shredding of feed components due to deteriorating tooth substance or even the reduced absorption capacity and synthesis of nutrients in the intestine. Metabolic diseases such as PPID (Equine Cushing’s Syndrome) occur more frequently with age and lead to altered metabolic function.

This makes it all the more important to ensure a sufficient supply of vitamins, trace elements and essential amino acids. In addition to the fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E, Agrobs Seniormineral also provides valuable B vitamins, biotin and vitamin C to comprehensively meet the needs of ageing horses. Thanks to the addition of zinc, selenium, copper and iodine, nutritional deficiencies that occur when feeding hay alone are specifically compensated for.

Agrobs Seniormineral is enriched with essential amino acids to support muscle development and maintenance. Thanks to its grain- and molasses-free formula based on natural green fibers, Agrobs Seniormineral is suitable for all horse breeds and types. The low starch and sugar content also enables horses with sensitive metabolisms to be fed as required.

How is Seniormineral dosed?

The feeding recommendation is 10 - 15 g per 100 kg body weight per day.

Can other supplements such as essential amino acids and trace elements be fed in parallel with Seniormineral?

Amino acid supplements such as Amino pur can be administered at any time. If Seniormineral is fed as recommended, it covers the need for trace elements. The additional administration of pure trace elements is not necessary. In times of increased need (e.g. infection) Zink pur can be added.

Is it a complete mineral feed or do I need to add something else?

Seniormineral covers the nutrient requirements as needed and should not be supplemented with mineral feeds. Only a salt lick stone should also be available.

Can Seniormineral be fed all year round, i.e. parallel to the grazing season?

Yes, Seniormineral can be fed all year round without having to worry about an oversupply of vitamins.

Can I soak Seniormineral together with cobs or mash?

Yes, Seniormineral can be soaked and fed with other products. There is no loss of nutrients and no inhibited nutrient absorption.

Is Seniormineral also suitable for horses with metabolic disorders (e.g. EMS, PPID or PSSM)?

Yes, the grain- and molasses-free recipe ensures a low starch and sugar content. In addition to vital vitamins and minerals, Seniormineral contains essential amino acids that ideally supplement the sometimes strictly regulated rations of horses and ponies with metabolic disorders.

When should I start feeding Seniormineral instead of Naturmineral?

In the literature, horses are often referred to as seniors from the age of 19. However, practice shows that this age limit is by no means rigid. In the event of muscle loss, poorer feed conversion or underlying diseases such as PPID, the supply of all relevant micronutrients can be ensured with the help of Seniormineral.

What is the difference between Seniormineral and Naturmineral?

Both products contain all essential minerals (bulk and trace elements) and vitamins in sufficient quantities to cover requirements. Seniormineral contains higher proportions of these micronutrients, and essential amino acids are also added.

What is the proportion of organically bound trace elements?

The proportion of organically bound trace elements is 50 % for copper, manganese, zinc and selenium. Cobalt and iodine are contained in 100 % inorganic form.

Why is there no added iron in Seniormineral?

Most horses absorb sufficient iron from their basic feed (hay and grass). AGROBS products also contain sufficient iron.

What is the shelf life of Seniormineral?

The minimum shelf life is 12 months. This means that if stored properly, Seniormineral can of course be fed without hesitation even after the best-before date has passed.
