'Bow'
‘Bow’ a One and half year old British sport horse x tb, developed laminitis (her owner suspected due to field spraying).
The owners partner is a trimmer so they iced her feet for three days, took off grass completely, she became less inflamed and started to walk better within the first week, with no further deterioration or rotation, but whilst on restricted grazing and probably due to excess sugars from laminitis episode she developed a bad case of malodour and blackening of all four of her feet in the frog and on the sole.
Sole Paint was applied, twice daily, the first few days packing the feet with padding soaked in paint to ensure every time she put her foot down she had a new covering.
Within a week she improved within two weeks the feet were free of odour and discolouration. The improvement in diet was also likely to be a major factor in the improvement as high sugar diets can lead to proliferation of bacteria and fungi on the feet. But the product was definitely credited with improving Bow’s issues.
“Sole Paint is very effective in my opinion to improve sole and frog health in addition to aiding other minor damage within and around the frogs or bulbs. Giving rapid relief, it doesn’t necrotise healthy tissue and aids in soothing and the healing process. It is also easy to use.”
'Robin'
‘Robin’ a 20 year old cob suffered badly from a deep central sulcus crack and frog infections.
Iodine, peroxide, other preparatory equine and even human products had been used in attempts to clear it up a ‘fortune’ had been spent to no avail.
The farrier’s opinion was that the cracks would never heal, the vet concurred that this was likely the case. Despite a thorough hygiene schedule maggots were starting to infest the area.
Robin’s feet were cleaned daily with Sole Cleanse and allowed to dry prior to the sulcus cracks being packed with Hoof-Stuff. The entire hoof was then covered with Sole Paint. It was then allowed to dry and covered. This was continued for 3 nights. Then Sole Paint was applied daily brushing it well into the heel and sole.
The central sulcus crack rapidly closed and has not reopened since, Robin now only has Sole Paint applied after being trimmed (every 5-6 weeks).
“My vet was amazed with the results and now I believe he recommends your products.”
