Do Horse Alpin Senior have to be soaked?
Horses, that drink enough water and, therefore, produce enough saliva, can be fed with dry PreAlpin Senior. Unfortunately, many aged horses have an insufficient intake of water. Here, dampening the feed is appropriate. But also when changing the feed, with hasty eaters, old horses and horses with dental problems, we advise you to generally moisten or soak the feed.
If Horse Alpin Senior is fed without dampening or soaking, is there a risk of oesophageal obstruction?
In general, Horse Alpin Senior is appropriate for dry feeding. However, in fast eaters as well as in horses that gulp, it should be dampened or soaked.
Can Horse Alpin Senior be fed to horses with known problems of laminitis?
In case of laminitis, it is better to fed a grain-free diet. In these cases our AlpenGrün Müsli, our PreAlpin Senior, are especially appropriate.

Yes, the new recipe does NOT include Naturmineral.
Why is Naturmineral not included in Horse Alpin Senior anymore? Is that a disadvantage for the client?
No, a much more individual diet, adapted to the individual horse, is possible now. Mineral feed always should be fed demand-oriented.
Can Horse Alpin Senior be fed to horses with dental problems?

No, Horse Alpin Senior is free of oats.
Does Horse Alpin Senior contain molasses?
No, it is free of molasses. The sugar content comes from the processed kinds of plants and grains.
